A twist on the classic blueberry pie — with a whole wheat, cinnamon crust!
Over the Labor Day Weekend I took one look at the fresh blueberries at the farmer’s market and I knew I had to make a pie. The berries were jumbo-sized, sweet and ripe with flavor. Later that day, while searching for my favorite Pate Brisée recipe, I came across another wonderful recipe in the Silver Palate Cookbook, Blueberry Pie with Cinnamon Lattice Crust. I instantly knew this is what I was destined to make over the holiday weekend.
The Silver Palate Good Times Cookbook is not only a classic but a true favorite of mine. Written by Julee Russo and Shiela Lukins; their recipes were the epitome of cooking and entertaining in the 80’s.
