Add a little sparkle to your eyes for fun
Eye shadow has come a long way from the Maybelline eye contouring compacts from the 1980’s. The evolution of eyeshadow- from a powder that never stayed on my eyelids to an all day shimmery lid is amazing!
I have been noticing increasing numbers of glimmering eyelids around me. My millennial young women employees all have the best eye makeup. I asked them how they do it and they told me liquid eyeshadow. I became more interested since I spend most of my workdays in front of a computer. A small eyeshadow investment is well worth improving my Zoom appearance! I decided to try liquid eyeshadow to see if the sparkle really stays and shows.
I watched a few makeup bloggers to begin my research. Ultimately, I decided to try Stila Liquid Eyeshadow because it was one of the first liquid eyeshadows made. It also had great reviews on Instagram and YouTube. Hillary Duff’s makeup tutorial on Vogue’s YouTube channel is what really persuaded me as we share similar coloring. She is a big fan of Stila Liquid Eyeshadow, and I must admit, so am I.
The texture of Stila Liquid Eyeshadow is light and opaque. The product does not feel heavy on my eyelids. I started with a Beautycounter light pearl colored powder on the entire half circle of my eyelid. I next lined the top line of my eyelid with Stila liquid eyeshadow in Ballet Baby. The color was beautiful and shimmery. Wearing the product was very comfortable, and none of the glitter got into my eyes. I felt that the light pink color actually made my eyelashes stand out more. The shadow also showed through brilliantly on my big tortoise shell glasses. Stila Liquid Eyeshadow is also very easy to remove with just simple facial cleanser and water. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to freshen up they look and fashion in 2021!
